Frequently asked questions
Does it run the code?
No. CanQuiz never executes or compiles anything: it writes and grades questions about the material you give it. To run code, use your editor.
Which languages are supported?
Anything you can paste as text. The highlighter recognises the usual structure of keywords, literals and comments.
Can I hand it a whole repository?
There is no repository integration. Paste the files or docs you care about, or upload them as a PDF. Going file by file produces better questions.
Do I need an API key?
No. AI is included: you get 20 generations a month and up to 5 a day, with no key and no card. If you run short, you can add your own Anthropic or OpenAI key in settings and generate without a limit, paying that usage directly to the provider. The key is stored only in your browser.
Are the questions useful or trivial?
They come from your material, so they ask what it explains. You can tell the chat to make them harder, more specific, or focused on one part.
Can I edit the questions?
Yes. Every question, option and explanation is editable before you practice or share, and afterwards too.
