Terms of use
These terms govern the use of CanQuiz. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
The service
CanQuiz lets you create quizzes from your own material, practise them, share them and review them. It is built and operated by Michel Rodrigues as an independent developer. It is offered free of charge and without a subscription. AI generation is included within a usage limit; you can also supply your own API key and generate without that limit.
Your account
You need an account to create, save and share quizzes. You are responsible for activity carried out with your account. You must be 18 or older to use CanQuiz: AI generation relies on third-party providers whose terms do not allow the service to be offered to anyone younger. If you supply your own API key, you are responsible for keeping it safe.
Your content
The material you upload and the quizzes you create remain yours. By using the service you grant CanQuiz the technical permission needed to store and display them, and, if you publish a quiz, to serve it to anyone holding the link. You undertake to upload only material you hold rights to, and not to upload sensitive personal data or confidential documentation.
Acceptable use
You may not use CanQuiz to publish unlawful or misleading content or content infringing third-party rights, nor to attempt to breach the security of the service, automate access abusively, or consume resources in a way that degrades the service for others.
AI and accuracy
CanQuiz generates quizzes with artificial intelligence. By default it does so through its own provider, within a limited number of generations per month and per day that may change without notice; you can also supply your own API key and generate without that limit, paying the provider directly for what you use. In both cases the material you send is transmitted to the relevant provider to build the quiz. Quizzes are generated automatically and can contain errors: review the questions and answers before studying from them or sharing them. CanQuiz does not warrant the accuracy of generated content and is not responsible for academic decisions taken on the basis of it.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as is and as available. Interruptions can happen, and features marked beta may change or disappear. These terms may be updated; material changes will be announced in the service.
Termination
You can stop using the service whenever you like. CanQuiz may suspend an account that breaches these terms. You can delete your account yourself from Settings > Privacy and account inside the app; deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, CanQuiz is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law grants you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Nothing in this clause deprives you of the venue or the rights consumer law grants you as a user.
