Use it from an AI chat
Use CanQuiz from your AI chat
You connect your CanQuiz account once, in ChatGPT or in Claude. Then you ask the chat for a quiz: the chat writes the questions, and CanQuiz saves them in your account, asks them back without showing the answer, marks them and schedules the reviews. It does not count against your CanQuiz AI allowance, because the chat writes the questions.
Where you can use it
The same account and the same quizzes from any of them.
The CanQuiz address
It is the same everywhere and never changes. You will need it in the steps below: copy it now.

It works as a custom connector, on the Claude website and in its desktop app.
If you would rather do it by hand
- On claude.ai or in the desktop app, open Customize and then Connectors.
- Press «+» and Add custom connector, and paste this address: https://app.canquiz.com/api/mcp

- In a conversation, turn it on under «+» and Connectors.
Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
On Team or Enterprise, whoever administers the organisation adds it first, under Organization settings and Connectors. Everyone else finds it under Customize and Connectors and presses Connect.
CanQuiz asks Claude to check with you before deleting a quiz, and deletes nothing unless the title matches.
Add it on the web or on desktop first: it then shows up in the phone app too.
To remove it, under Customize and Connectors, open the connector's menu and choose Remove.

Claude Code
If you use Claude Code, add it with the first command so it works in every project, and inside Claude Code type /mcp, choose canquiz and press Authenticate to sign in with your account. The second one removes it and deletes what was stored.

CanQuiz has been submitted and is under review by OpenAI. As soon as it is approved, the link to install it appears here, and it will work just like it does in Claude: you ask for a quiz and it is saved to your account.
Meanwhile, ask ChatGPT for the quiz and paste its answer into «Paste text» inside CanQuiz: it opens as a quiz and does not use your allowance.

What it does not do
It does not read your conversations or the chat's memory. It does not use CanQuiz's AI. Only text questions, no images. It never publishes in Explore: sharing from the chat is link-only. Coding exercises do not show up in the chat: they are practised on the web.
Your data
The chat sends CanQuiz what each action needs: the quiz it writes, which quiz you want to open or change, and your answers when you practise. CanQuiz returns your quizzes, their links and what you have to review. What goes into the conversation is kept by OpenAI or Anthropic under their own policy. CanQuiz's data export includes what you do from the chat and the connected apps.
Disconnect
There are two sides. In the chat, remove the connector or uninstall the plugin. And in CanQuiz, under Settings > Connected apps, remove the access: if you only remove it in the chat, CanQuiz keeps accepting that access until you remove it there or it expires.
Who can use it
Anyone with a CanQuiz account, including when it is used from a chat.
If something does not work
Claude does not use CanQuiz: turn it on in the conversation, under «+» and Connectors.
You are on Claude's free plan and already have another custom connector: there is room for only one.
It asks you to sign in again or says «unauthorized»: disconnect and connect again.
You cannot find a quiz: coding exercises are only on the web.
It does not show up on your phone: add it on the web or on desktop first and sign in to the app again.
There is a daily cap on new quizzes from the chat; on the web you can carry on.
