Mock exam

A mock exam generator that follows your exam's rules

Tell CanQuiz how many questions your exam has, how long it lasts, the pass mark and what a wrong answer costs. It builds a full mock from the quizzes in your folder, and once you hand in you get your score and a round on what you missed.

From your notes to a full mock exam

Gather your material in a folder

Make quizzes from your PDFs, photos or notes and keep them in one folder. The mock draws on their questions with options.

Set your exam's rules

Number of questions, time, pass mark, points off per wrong answer, and whether you may go back to a question you answered. The mock follows them.

Hand in, then review

Results and explanations come at the end, as they do in the real exam. You see your score against the pass mark, go through every answer and practice the ones you got wrong.

Inside the mock exam

A cover page with the rules

Time, number of questions, pass mark and the penalty for a wrong answer appear before you start, the way a printed paper opens.

A question map

Jump between questions, flag doubtful ones with “Mark for review” and check which are still blank before handing in. Going back works when your rules allow it.

A clock you control

A pace line shows whether you're ahead or behind. Hide the timer if it distracts you; it comes back near the end.

Score and review when you hand in

Your score appears next to the pass mark, and you can go through every answer.

Why rehearse with CanQuiz

Built from what you study

Questions come from the quizzes you made with your own PDFs, notes and photos.

Scored the way your exam is

If your exam takes points off for wrong answers, so does the mock, and the result is measured against your pass mark.

Mistakes go straight to practice

After the report, one button starts a round with only the questions you missed.

Topics and a readiness ring

CanQuiz sorts a folder's quizzes into topics without you building any list, and once the folder has an exam date it shows a ring with how ready you are.

Mock exam or Timed practice

You start both from the folder. The mock is the full dress rehearsal; Timed practice is a shorter round for any day of the week.

Mock exam

The whole exam under your rules: cover page, time limit, penalties, question map and hand-in. It ends with your score, a review of each answer and practice on what you missed.

Timed practice

Pick which quizzes the questions come from and how many, then answer against the clock with the solutions held back until the end. Your score and your mistakes come after.

Mock exam results in CanQuiz: the score against the pass mark, how many you got right, wrong or left blank, the wrong ones to review and a button to practice the ones you missed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I generate a mock exam from my own notes?

Yes. Turn your notes, PDFs or photos into quizzes, put them in a folder and start the mock from that folder in your browser. The AI writes the questions from your material, and the mock picks from them.

Can wrong answers cost points, like on my real exam?

Yes. In the exam rules you decide whether a wrong answer costs nothing or how much it takes off, and the mock's score already includes that. A blank answer is worth zero.

What's the difference between a mock exam and Timed practice?

The mock exam recreates the whole exam under its rules and ends with a report: your score, the pass mark and a review of every answer. Timed practice is a shorter round where you choose the quizzes and the number of questions, then answer against the clock.

Are these questions from real past papers?

No. CanQuiz has no bank of official papers: the questions come from your quizzes, which the AI writes from your material. If you have a past paper as a PDF, you can make a quiz from it like any other file.

Can I use it as a practice exam maker for any subject?

Yes, for any exam you have material for: a university course, a certification, a language test or a civil service exam. You bring the content and set the rules your exam uses.

Rehearse before exam day

Put your material in a folder, give it your exam's rules and sit a mock.
